NACHLAN'S CHURCH AT TULLICH, ABERDEENSHIRE.

The present church is of a very much later date than the old Celtic foundation being mostly of sixteenth-century work. On the north-side there is a very well preserved fourteenth century doorway. Outside the north wall there are eleven incised stones of various kinds. Some show Pictish symbols whereas others are purely Christian showing crosses of various kinds. There is no doubt that Tullich was both a centre of very early Christianity and a Pictish population of some size.
